Research

My research lies at the intersection of power politics, political behavior, and authoritarian institutions, with a geographical focus on China. My current research employs computational approaches to examine how transformations of internal power structures reshape elite behavior, reconfigure elite networks, and, in turn, affect the resilience of authoritarian regimes, as well as how these regimes respond to external shocks through institutional maneuvering.
